| Landscape
design and consultation
This is the obvious
starting point when planning a garden. We have saved our past clients a
vast amount of money by consulting with us in conjunction with the
architect. We are firm believers of planning the house around the
landscape where possible, instead of the other way round. All to often
we are called in once the building is complete and natural resources
that were available before the builders arrived have been destroyed. It
is also prudent to remember that certain local councils and private
estates insist on landscape drawings to be submitted with house plans.
Our rates for this service are very reasonable and we won't waste your
time and money with designs that are unworkable......and if its simple
enough we wont charge you !!!

Landscape
contracting
Once a design has been
agreed upon, we prepare a detailed bill of quantities so you can see
exactly what you will be getting and easy enough to read so you can
compare prices and we always remain flexible to allow you to change the
specification to suit the budget. Our contract with you is straight
forward and we are not "nit picky "when it comes to extras.

| Plant
specification and supply
This service is included
in the previous sections but we do offer this as a stand alone service.
In many cases the client will want to do the planting themselves. We
will supply you with a plant list specially prepared for your garden
with a quote per plant. The plants ( and fertilizers etc ) will then be
delivered to your site. We are also available to help you lay them out
if you need a hand. |

Plot
clearing and earthworks If
you have a piece of vacant land or your dream plot and you are planning
a building, the chances are you will have spent a few hours walking
around or sitting at a view point considering how to do it. Most folk
don't realise how the earth has to be moved around in order to fit the
building in, and can end up dismayed once the bulldozers arrive - seeing
their bit of paradise being turned up side down. Once plans have been
approved we are available to do the clearing of the land and supervising
the earthworks - SENSITIVELY. We start by removing unviable plants,
transplant viable plants where possible and begin cutting and / or
filling to engineers / architects specifications. This stage is where we
can save you cash........ So often we are called in once the house is
built and access has been cut off, rocks and plants stolen or destroyed
and the usual........your topsoil has been used to back fill the
foundation. We are also available to simply supervise this aspect of the
project . |
 |
| Irrigation
We don't get involved in
the design and installation of the sprinkles, but rather make use of our
approved installers who are experts in this field. Depending on your
needs, we can arrange a few quotes on your behalf from different
suppliers with great track records and fall in line with our no hassle
ethic. In most cases we will insist on some form of irrigation in order
to be able to guarantee our work. |

| Stone
work
Stonework has always been
the foundation of our business. In the early nineties our company was
one of the pioneers in the revival of this construction method. From
simple stone pathways to engineered retaining walls our stone masons are
long experienced in this field. We are very fussy about where our stone
is sourced and will never remove it from the wild.

Water
Features
There is no better way to
complete the landscape than introducing water. From small bucket sized
ponds to million liter dams, we can assist. We make use of a variety of
waterproofing systems depending on the use of the dam. Often with
properties on mountain slopes, natural water is encountered when cutting
a platform for the building. Instead of draining the water away we have
successfully used this water in attractive features that double up as
irrigation storage. before simply draining it away

 |
| Environmental
planning
In many cases the local
authority will require an environmental plan or impact assessments
before passing building plans. Our services here include mapping and
listing viable and indigenous plants / rocks, compiling of environmental
impact assessments, planning and consultation.

Fynbos
rehabilitation
With over a decade of
experience in working on Table Mountain with the indigenous flora,
we've discovered a few tricks in getting this sometimes difficult plant
group to grow. In many areas the invasive alien plants have taken over.
With careful clearing and planning the area can be rehabilitated to its
former glory. For more information about fynbos, click here.
